1. Enhanced Operation Suppress/Unsuppress

With the latest update, ESPRIT EDGE now preserves Tool Change Positions when suppressing or unsuppressing operations. This builds upon the previous version's capability to maintain Work Offset, Rotary Solution, and Collinear Solution, offering more flexibility and consistency in your workflow.

2. Advanced 5-Axis Corner Remachining

The 5-Axis Corner Remachining feature continues to evolve with support for both Steep and Shallow Strategies:

  • Z-level Strategy for Steep Corners: Ideal for precise corner finishing.
  • Concentric Patterns for Shallow Areas: Ensures efficient toolpath management while preventing over-engagement of the cutting tool.

This intelligent approach to remachining not only enhances tool life but also boosts overall machining efficiency.

3. Preview: Hexagon Copilot (AI Assistance)

Say hello to the future of machining assistance!
Hexagon Copilot is an AI-powered help assistant integrated into ESPRIT EDGE, providing instant guidance and answers to your questions. This innovative tool is designed to streamline your workflow with real-time assistance.

  • How to Access: Go to File > Options > Preview to activate the assistant.
  • Hosted on Nexus: A Nexus account is required for activation.

Hexagon Copilot is currently in Preview, giving you a glimpse of the future of intelligent machining support.

4. Comprehensive Swiss-Type Machine Support

ESPRIT EDGE 2025.1 introduces powerful enhancements for Swiss-type machines, particularly for CITIZEN lathes:

  • Tool Mounting Blocks: New configuration options to swap, delete, and modify mounting blocks with an advanced API for customization.
  • Rechucking and Spindle Support: New barfeed type enables complex rechucking sequences for extended part machining, including automatic multiple rechuckings.
  • Tool Offset Management: Advanced tooling configuration support for CITIZEN machines with independent tool mounting and gage points.
  • Coordinate System Automation: Automated adjustment of the coordinate system with tool orientation changes, ensuring seamless programming.
  • Machining Patterns Definition: Enhanced control over superimposition, composite axis, and axis synchronization for CITIZEN machines.
